Great Picture Books for Teens and Adults

Picture books are often seen as the first stages of literacy and a stage to be "grown out of", however we should be re-evaluate the use of these great literary works. Many picture books have a lot to offer because of the collaboration between illustrations and words. There are many different levels of understanding to be unearthed in these lovely materials. Teenagers and adults should continue to appreciate these works and stop thinking of them as books for children.
